Nut Brownies
Ingredients
- ½ cup of butter
- 60g of Laura Secord 70 % dark chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 200ml of sugar
- 100ml of white flour
- 50ml of almond flour
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- ¼tsp of cinnamon
- ½ cup of your choice of chopped nuts (Hazelnuts and pecans were used here)
- Preheat oven to 325°F
- Melt the chocolate and the butter together in a bain-marie
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until mixture whitens
- Add the melted chocolate and butter to the mix
- Incorporate the sifted white flour and almond flour
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well
- Pour into an 8’’ x 8’’ greased pan and plate it in the oven
- Bake between 12 to 18 minutes or until toothpick comes out completely dry after inserting it into the brownies
- Let cool before removing from the pan.
