Nut Brownies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of butter
  • 60 g of Laura Secord 70 % dark chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 ml of sugar
  • 100 ml of white flour
  • 50 ml of almond flour
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp of cinnamon
  • ½ cup of your choice of chopped nuts
    (Hazelnuts and pecans were used here)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 325°F
  • Melt the chocolate and the butter together in a bain-marie
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until mixture whitens
  • Add the melted chocolate and butter to the mix
  • Incorporate the sifted white flour and almond flour
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well
  • Pour into an 8’’ x 8’’ greased pan and plate it in the oven
  • Bake between 12 to 18 minutes or until toothpick comes out completely dry after inserting it into the brownies
  • Let cool before removing from the pan.
